Third Person Singular
is the first title in the
Mars Bahr mystery series

On a cold, damp April morning, Special Detective Marshall—"Mars"—Bahr is called to a trail along the Mississippi River near downtown Minneapolis where a suburban teenager’s body has been found. Mars and his computer-jockey partner, Nettie Frisch, grind away at dead-end leads, only to discover that the victim, who appeared to have everything, was a lonely kid fighting private demons.

The case is on a back burner when Mars and Nettie catch a lucky break that yields a suspect—and more victims. The new victims lead Mars to a man whose sociopathic intelligence has concealed his motive for murder.
